My overall knowledge, confidence and skills have been greatly enhanced with this training, The trainer Jo was very aware of the differences and gaps in workers knowledge and learning and facilitated the training around this. The individual telephone call at the end of the day was particularly useful as this was an opportunity for Jo to review areas that I was not as confident in and for her to offer further support re tools and resources.
Jo was very approachable and knowledgeable in this subject area which allowed her to appropriately challenge our thinking and critique our assessment skills. The resources were very helpful, and I enjoyed the training, much of it was done through discussion which I found helpful – I do not learn well from having to read masses of paperwork or complete huge amounts of essays/research! The balance was right. I enjoyed the virtual experience. This saved on the challenges of having to get up very early, find parking, wait hours in traffic and be exhausted by the end trying to get home. This was so much more effective.
I feel better informed in terms of the process, ie structure, interpreters, methods of gathering information and analysing this. I feel more confident in terms of transparency and pre-emptying the questioning of the analysis of the report.
